DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of Underwood at the Community Center this winter for another annual tradition: Spaghetti Night! January is the perfect month to reconnect with neighbors and friends. Bundle up and bring the whole family; leave the cooking to Pat McConnell and crew! \nThis year’s event will take place on Saturday\, January 24\, 2026. This is a fundraising event for Friends of Underwood and a delicious way to support our community! \nThis year’s menu will include spaghetti with sauce (meat and vegetarian options available)\, salad\, rolls\, and dessert\, with gluten-free noodles available upon request. The evening will kick off with a cocktail hour at 5:00 p.m.\, followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. \nDinner cost:\n$15.00 per adult\n$5.00 for kids (ages 2 – 10)\nChildren under age 2\, free \nBeer and wine will also be available for purchase:\n$5 for beer\n$6 for wine\n$25 per bottle \nWhile an RSVP is not required\, it’d be much appreciated for planning purposes! DESCRIPTION:Underwood community members are invited to join Friends of Underwood (FOU) and the Underwood Park and Recreation District (UPRD) for a neighborhood baked potato bash! On Saturday\, March 1\, we’ll be serving up piping hot taters with all the toppings from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Community Center. This is a family-friendly event to say thanks for supporting our park and voting yes on Proposition 1 this past November. It is free for Underwood residents — food and beverages will be provided. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

DESCRIPTION:Help us keep our neighborhoods clean and beautiful! \nJoin us for the Annual Underwood Road Clean-Up in Underwood on Saturday\, September 21st\, from 8:30 am until Noon. This year’s clean-up event is a great opportunity to meet new friends and neighbors and contribute to keeping the place we call home free of unwanted litter.  \nVolunteer participants can check in at the Community Center for street assignments between 8:00 and 8:30 am. Safety vests and bags will be provided\, but be sure to bring a pair of sturdy gloves! More information will be provided by organizers on the day of the event. \nFollowing the community clean up\, make plans to join neighbors for a friendly Bring Your Own Basket and Beverage (BYOBB) Community Picnic (details here).  \nThis event is sponsored by Friends of Underwood\, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (formerly the Underwood Community Committee).
