DESCRIPTION:It’s election day!  Washington State votes by mail and today is the last day to submit your ballot for 2024. Let your voice be heard! All ballots must be submitted by 8 pm on Election Day. \nAre there any important ballot measures specifically affecting Underwood this year?  \nYes! Proposition #1. Voting “yes” on this ballot measure will support critical funding for our Community Center and Park in the years to come. Read some important FAQs here.  \nWhere can I drop my ballot in Underwood?  \nThe very best place to drop your ballot is into the official ballot box at the Underwood Community Center. Located on the east end of the parking lot in front of the center itself\, dropping your ballot into the designated ballot box before 8 pm on Tuesday\, November 5\, 2024\, will ensure your vote will be counted. \nCan I drop my ballot in the Underwood USPS Mailbox?  \nYes\, but you must be sure to drop it off in time to be postmarked no later than Election Day\, Tuesday\, November 5\, 2024. This is a really important consideration! Especially in Underwood. Each year\, there are a handful of signed ballots that cannot be counted because they were dropped into the USPO mailbox after the last collection time on Election Day. Our advice? Play it safe! Use the official ballot box in front of the Community Center. \n  \n

This is a beginner group that meets once a week\, except the first week of the month. No experience is needed. Just bring your water bottle and a paddle! SUMMARY:Annual Road Clean-Up
DESCRIPTION:Help us keep our neighborhoods clean and beautiful! \nJoin us for the Annual Underwood Road Clean-Up in Underwood on Saturday\, September 21st\, from 8:30 am until Noon. This year’s clean-up event is a great opportunity to meet new friends and neighbors and contribute to keeping the place we call home free of unwanted litter.  \nVolunteer participants can check in at the Community Center for street assignments between 8:00 and 8:30 am. Safety vests and bags will be provided\, but be sure to bring a pair of sturdy gloves! More information will be provided by organizers on the day of the event. \nFollowing the community clean up\, make plans to join neighbors for a friendly Bring Your Own Basket and Beverage (BYOBB) Community Picnic (details here).  \nThis event is sponsored by Friends of Underwood\, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (formerly the Underwood Community Committee).
