Annual Garden Contract

A few things to note:

Community garden contracts run from January 1 - December 31 each year.
There is a mandatory drip system workshop for members in the spring of each year. All materials (timers, drip system and water) are provided.
Contract and fees are due each year on December 31.

I accept the information in the UCG Garden Handbook, the Organizational Structure, and the Rules and Guidelines, and I look forward to gardening during my contract year.

I understand that volunteering at the Spring Workshop and attending two morning Weed-Ins at the Gardens is expected. A total of 15 volunteer hours is asked of each gardener annually. Other opportunities for volunteering will surface as the UCG educational and gardening program unfolds throughout the year.

Weed control around your box is your responsibility. When you are tending your garden, please reach down and pick those weeds! If you happen to have a box by the fence, your weed control extends that far. If your box is not located next to the fence you will be assigned a section of the fence that is not parallel to any box and the weeds in that area are your responsibility.

I understand that neither the garden group nor owners of the land are responsible for my actions. I / We therefore agree to hold harmless the garden group and owners of the land for any liability, damage, loss or claim that occurs in connection with use of the garden by me, any co-box person(s), or any of my guests.
