Wednesday October 16, 2019 at 6:00 the Underwood Community Council will hold an informational meeting concerning the intended sale of land along the White Salmon River. Since the removal of Northwestern Dam a few years ago, PacifiCorps no longer requires possession of land related to the Dam.
At the Oct. 16 UCC meeting, there will be presentations from PacifiCorps, Skamania county and a group called Underwood Coalition. Underwood residents in attendance at the meeting will have an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.
The community meeting will take place at the Park building at 951 School House Road in Underwood.
Note: The photo of a bridge is similar to the old Northwest Dam bridge, now unusable. One of the proposals deals with converting this bridge over the White Salmon River into a walking bridge, connecting a trail along the river.
