Meet the Board: UPRD Commissioners
The UPRD Board of Commissioners is the driving force for everything park and community center-related in Underwood.
The Underwood Community Center and Park is a unique and special place. It’s the hub (and heart) of Underwood, Washington, and as the only public playground, sports facility and meeting space available within our community, it is a frequent gathering ground for friends, families, and neighbors. We host events for school groups, day camps, community organizations, private parties (weddings, anniversaries, quinceañeras and more), children’s sports programs, exercise classes, fundraisers, live music, and adult recreation. The UPRD is guided by a strong organizational mission and vision, which forms the foundation and motivation for all board actions, decisions and discussions.

Pat McConnell
After graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Economics, and a stint as a ski bum in Telluride, I spent 40 years working in construction equipment sales and distribution. My wife Robin and I purchased a home in Underwood in 2012, remodeled it, and moved to Underwood full time. We both appreciate the sense of community we found here and regard the UPRD to be a wonderful community asset. Email Pat
