Along with our monthly board meeting we will be hosting a Road Safety Meeting this Wednesday July 14 at the Community Center from 6-8. Please come and hear/share you concerns regarding the increased road speed and decreased visability on Cook Underwood Road.
Some road safety concerns are:
– more speed limit signs on main road and side roads
– perhaps 35 mph signs around couple of corners
– caution- blind pull-out signs before Kollack/Knapp, Hawkins Winery and Cooper Avenue
– more frequent speed observation by county officers
– perhaps mirrors on a couple of curves
– perhaps speed signs visible as leaving wineries so that tourist are
reminded
– increase of guardrails on top at west end of Underwood
– what are the guidelines as to when to decide to gravel during icy
weather?
